This serving tray is perfect for any situation, whether you have friends and family around and want a convenient way to bring drinks and snacks to the table, or if you are looking for an elegant way to help display the small features of your room.
The wood is a Douglas Fir that has been repurposed from an older home in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver. This is a great way to upcycle older materials and help the environment. Not only is it good for the environment, but it gives the project a great story and some history

The detail that has gone into this serving tray is next level. Intricate cuts, meticulous sanding, and preparation don't even begin to tell the full story of this project.
This project came to life the way many others before it has. Upon seeing the quality of the wood in this Douglas Fir, ideas immediately start flowing as to what the raw substrate can become.
The uses of a serving tray are endless making it the perfect project for any home.
From Concept To Execution And Even Further

This beautiful Douglas Fir was first spotted at a previous renovation project and was immediately recognized as being in fantastic shape. With the project underway and the old fir is removed to make way for the new design.
The boards are carefully inspected for rot and damage and organized accordingly. The herringbone pattern is a very elegant and sophisticated design. The fir has been stained to help emphasize the grain and help connect the natural wood feel to the soft leather handle located at the end of the tray.
